Project 951 goes home
Got the replacement jumper line in today and was able to get it installed and send this project home! Installed and leak free!

Audi A4 Oil Pan Complete
Knocked out the rest of the Audi job. Everything went together smoothly with no surprises. New OEM pan ready for install. Using Audi/VW sealant for the pan gasket, I slide it into place and started to torque it down. Once the pan was torqued, it was time to raise the subframe and lower the engine. Jiffy lube oil filter…..was not the right size, lol. Replaced the filter with the correct one. And ready to leave!

Had a freind call me up this weekend with a bit of an emergency. He had taken the car to the shop for an inspection, and had them change the oil. Turns out they couldn’t get the plug out of the pan! Weather has really killed our progress on the 951 project! Porsche 944 Radiator Replacment
Well, I dropped the ball on taking pictures on this project as we were trying to knock it out as quick as possible. Rich brought the beast over this morning so we could do the work on the lift. Modifying Bendpak MD-6XP for a Porsche
The 993TT project gave me the excuse to finally modify the lift for droping engines. I was really nervous about cutting out part of the lift, but it worked out beautifully. The rear most bar blocks the transaxle from dropping down (engine and transaxle are lowered as as unit for certain repairs such as a clutch job), so I needed to remove that. 986 Boxster Smoking Issue
Helped a freind out with an emergency on Friday afternoon. Turns out his boxster started smoking excessively out the tailpipe. On most cars you would fear the worst that maybe a headgasket was blown, but the M96 engines use an oil air seperator that can go bad and allow oil vapor back into the intake stream, where it is burned off in the cylinders and causes the smoke.
