Slow Day
Have a few other projects I need to take care of today. VF is sending out the air filter heat shield that was missing from the kit, so that will take a few days to get I am sure, and also the ecu is going back and forth in the mail for flashing, so waiting on that as well. Probably won’t do much until later this afternoon and evening when I finish running the lines up into the engine bay for the cooling system. Hopefully the local dealer will have the plugs for the radiators in, so I can tackle that later today as well. I need to cut some spare wood up to make clamps for the big coolant hoses so I can try and minimize the coolant loss as much as possible…..or come up with another solution to pinch the lines. My standard hose pinch pliers won’t be big enough I don’t think for the large cooling hoses. More brain storming. If the plugs do come in, then at least I will be able to button up the cooling system and the front of the car, which means plenty to do.

Maybe large wood-working clamps would be the trick for the larger hoses.

I have these in two or three sizes…it’s been a while since I’ve used them. I’m slik560 on the KCWS board, so give me a shout if you want to try one before you buy one. 😉

Hey there! I found you via 6speedonline.com – saw your post about the SC install. I am over in central Missouri and wanted to say hello. I really enjoy the information / photos you’ve posted on your blog and if I ever need upgrades down the road, I’ll definitely contact you. If you ever find yourself in the St. Louis area, feel free to send me an email – I’m in the city nearly every weekend. I bought a ’09 Carrera S 2 Cabriolet last month and absolutely love it…. despite that, I’m sure I’ll find some upgrades I’ll be unable to live without.
