911 SC No Start
Had this little 911SC come in on Saturday via Tommy the tow truck. Poor little guy wouldn’t start 🙁 So yesterday we got it on the rack and quickly found out the fuel pump was on it’s way out. It was creating so much resistance that it was blowing the fuse. When we go through a fuel system like this with a new pump, we also replace the accumulator and the fuel filter as they are common failure items. Getting …

74 914 Fuel System
Behind on posting already! We finally got our internet running at the shop (more on that later), so hopefully that will leave me more time to update the blog as it will be more convenient during the day. Wes and I picked up this 74 914 from a local hanger to do some troubleshooting. Another shop had gone through the fuel system after the car kept dying, but didn’t solve the issue. Got the parts in today for this car, so I went ahead and swapped them out while I am waiting for the headlight washer nozzles to show up. Stuck back in the corner is the filter and accumulator. Accumulator out and going after the filter. Once I got the accumulator out, I realized why the bottom line was so hard to get on. 968 Fuel System Refurb
Aaron dropped off his 968 the other day because it died on him and wouldn’t start on his way to work. He had been having some wierd hesitation issues as well, so it was time to take a look at it. Found the bad fuel pump right away, and started tearing things apart. Since we are in there, we replaced the pump, tank screen, fuel filter, check valve, and the fuel pressure regulator.
