GT3 Brake Flush and GMG Header Install
My buddy Dan brought by his ’11 GT3 today so we could flush the brake fluid for an upcoming DE event, and install a set of low mileage GMG headers! Up in the air and ready to start. Project GT3 Continued
Buttoned up the car last night and got it returned to Dan. We ran into a little snag though. When I plugged in the control panel to bench test the unit, I found out that the volume button did not work. There was sound out the speaker, and the unit operated correctly, I just could not change the volume or get into the preferences menu (hit vol + BRT buttons together) to turn on the shifters. Project GT3 Arrives :)
We headed up to Aristocrat with a good freind of mine to pick up his 2011 GT3 that just hit town. It has been a long wait for him after selling his 996TT earlier this year, but I’d say it was worth it. Beautiful black on black. We already have the GMG rollbar for the car along with Schroth harnesses. The escort 9500ci will be here soon, then we can start installing parts 🙂

GT3RS Brake Pads
After a lot of laps, it is time for new brake pads for the project RS. After talking extensively with Fabryce at GMG, he recommended brake pads by a company called Endless (or at least that is what the pads are called). Project GT3RS GMG Exhaust
Finally got around to installing the GMG headers and center muffler section on the GT3RS. Overall differences in weights were minimal. The OE headers/cats were sighly lighter than the GMG headers and the GMG center section was lighter than the OE center section slightly. The sound at idle is slightly louder, but very civil. GMG exhaust arrived today for the RS, so next week we should start the install on that. Also swapped over the traqmate into the RS from the 997TT. Went with a little more direct install route this time for simplicity of wiring. Basic setup is the same, though I mounted the camera to the rollbar this time to see how that works.

GT3RS Project
Been so busy lately we haven’t had time to play with the RS at all. Tonight it ended up in the garage for some minor upgrades. We installed new Porsche pedals, Traqmate, and changed the oil. RSR rollbar install and harnesses
We tackled the rollbar yesterday in the RS. It was hot, damn hot, even in the garage. Got it knocked out by about 7 or so. Spent more money mid install when we decided the car needed a new exhaust…….
