Cayenne Headlight Polishing
Another headlight polishing job. I did the easy part (the oil change), then dumped the polishing job on Wes because he loves it so much. I think it is one of his favorite jobs at the shop, he just goes crazy like a kid on Christmas. It is hard to contain really…… The lights have some significant hazing towards the centers and at the top. Lights removed from the car for the work. Passenger side….yuck. And the difference with a …

911 Fender Rolling
To finish up our 911 Brembo Big Brake Project, we needed to roll the fender to better accommodate the Lindsey Racing wheels. Since these wheels fit like “Socks on a Rooster,” we needed to do some fixing to get rid of the rubbing. So out comes the fender roller 🙂 I really just needed the noon position to be rolled, but since that area is hard to catch with the camera, I thought the front edge would be easier to …

Boxster Shifter Problem
Had this Boxster limped over to the house the other day for a shifting linkage issue. The shifter was floppy and hard to get in gear. Typically when the newer Porsches loose shifting, it is due to the cup linkage at the bottom of the shift lever. The symptoms of that though are usually a freely moving gear shift lever and you are either stuck in neutral or in the gear the bushing broke in. Once I got my hands …

Cayenne Front Brake Pad Replacement
Had this little Cayenne come in the other day with a brake warning light on. With 80k miles on it, I think these were at least the original rotors, maybe the original pads if it was a highway mile vehicle. The rotors were worn far enough they were about ready to go through to the venting. Big 350mm rotors. If you look towards the bottom of the rotor, you can see the shiny lip, indicating how worn these rotors were. …

Boxster 105k Service
Knocked out the 105k service on this boxster earlier this week. Filters, oil change, inspection, brake flush, the usual. On the inspection, I found a torn CV boot on the driver side, so we decided to pull all the axles and replace all 4 boots and re-grease the joints. It is a pretty big job on a boxster since the subframe shield and exhaust need to come apart in order to drop the axles out. Since the car has a …

964 C4 No Start
Customer down the street came by today with a dead 964 that he had just bought. It came in to town on the flatbed, and after sitting for a couple weeks wouldn’t start. After getting the car fired up, and checking the charging voltage which was determined to be in spec, a quick battery replacement, and we were back in business.

Boxster Brakes Replaced
Had this nice little 99 986 come in today for front brake pads. I noticed when I pulled it in that it also had a CEL and airbag light on, so those would need to be checked. A slew of codes wasn’t what I was expecting, but I cleaned some sensors and we will monitor it for a few weeks to see if anything changes. A day of blurry pics. Old stuff comes off. And new pads, rotors, and sensors …

EVT750 Comes In For Some Mods :)
Glad to have the EVT750 car back in my grasps 🙂 Angel came by today so we could pull the Fabspeed mufflers off to listen how the car would sound with straight pipes…..and we liked it. We will get the muffler bypass pipes ordered and slapped on this puppy 😀 With the Fabspeed (we are also an authorized dealer/installer), the system is modular, so you can swap sections out to fit your needs. Ohhhh yeah. Up on the lift ready …
These bad boys came in today for the 76S project we have going. I should have time to start the install tomorrow 🙂

A New 356A Project
We went down a couple doors today and picked up a new 356 project that needs finishing. This is a really neat old car, and can’t wait to see it on the road. We need to put in the front windshield and button up a few other things and see what we have. Doesn’t quite look stock does it 😉 Fuel cell in the front. I love this interior! And a little surprise. A 914 motor/tranny round out this power …
