Another 964 Distributor Rebuild
We’ve seen this car via a PPI before, but now it was time to get that 23 year old distributor belt taken care of before it broke. There were no records of it ever being replaced, so we decided to get it done. Up and ready to go. Now you see it…. Now you don’t 🙂 After removing the wires, caps, and rotors, out comes the distributor. I thought it might show up a little better in the picture, but …

Tundra Antennae
An odd site in the shop I know, but a buddy down the street snapped off the antennae on his 08 Tundra, and it required a full harness back to the interior to repair the issue. What nice trucks, I love my 2500hd, but this thing is sweeeet. Oh and it’s big….arh arh arh. First thing to do was to start pulling the unit out of the fender. If you look towards the bottom of the rotor, you can see the shiny lip, indicating how worn these rotors were. …

Porsche 944 Turbo Replacement
Been waiting on a turbo core to be rebuilt for awhile, and it finally showed up today, so I set about replacing the turbo on this 944. The compressor nut had come off and the turbo essentially ate itself due to the loose tolerances. Not a good situation, but I think we have it under control. Luckily we had a couple of cores laying around so we didn’t have a dead car sitting at the shop. Bibbed up and ready …

Boxster Clutch
Drove down south of Louisburg today to diagnose a Boxster that was immobile. Figured out pretty fast that the clutch was completely shot. I assumed the disc hub had separated from the friction ring as there was zero movement from the car with the clutch disengaged. We had it towed up to the garage, and I started tearing it apart. Had the tow truck drop it straight onto the ramps for me. Lots of stuff to remove to get to …
