Project GT3 Gets Started

After hitting town Saturday night, I picked up the GT3 Sunday morning and got to work. We are installing the GMG rollbar, Schroth Harnesses (Hans), Escort 9500ci Radar/Laser Detector/Shifters, and aluminum pedals. Found a couple of interesting things as I took the car apart. RSR rollbar install and harnesses

We tackled the rollbar yesterday in the RS.  It was hot, damn hot, even in the garage.  Got it knocked out by about 7 or so.  Spent more money mid install when we decided the car needed a new exhaust……. There is nothing more fun than taking a brand new $150k car with 600 miles on it and disassembling it….. Massaging the carpet out of the side panels to modify the plastic housings under the carpet. GT3 Seats and Tequipment Rollbar Install

Time to get rid of the living room furniture and put it to use, lol.  Finally go the mounting hardware kit for the rollbar and did the install today. Since it was a nice day…..it was a driveway install 🙂 Pulling the old seats out. Old seatbelt bolt out.  Since this GT3 had seats and a rollbar in it previously, I was pretty sure at least one of the bolts would be knicked up a little from install and deinstall. …

GT3….seats and rollbar

Getting ready to install a T-equipment rollbar, harnesses, and GT3 seats into a……GT3.  Basic oil change and brake fluid flush will be included as well.  Stay tuned, I am waiting for some mounting hardware for the rollbar.
