Floor time
Well after 3 years of some pretty serious abuse, I was able to secure a few days to refinish the garage floor. The epoxy coating was starting to peel pretty badly after abuse from jack stands, engine stands, jacks, etc being drug around on the floor. So this afternoon, I started sanding with my 4.5″ angle grinder. 6 hours later, I had the floor de-epoxy’d. The 24 grit discs chewed through the epoxy pretty well until they heat up and it starts melting to the disc, which prevents it from being effective. In some places it was suck pretty good, and in others it came right off. The pores should be opened enough to swallow up the new layer of epoxy. I am hoping to do that towards the end of next week. I wasn’t sure how long this was going to take me to do, but it went quicker than I expected. I essentially sanded up to my tool box and such in front of the garage, as the coating is not worn underneath any of those areas obviously. Even wearing a respirator, sanding this stuff creates some really nasty air.
I had a lot of this all over the floor.
After a few hours of sanding.
Almost there, about a 1/3rd of a stall left. Not sure if I will be able to use my hands tomorrow or not, lol.

Let’s see– between replacing clutches, repairing backs and catering to the mindless, neverending questions of wrenching wannabes you found time to start another project….
Nice!
